Bludgeoning Self Doubt

“Thank you for this lovely blunt object that I will forevermore use as a weapon against self doubt.”
Whoa.

That’s beautiful.

I have a bad habit of always doing two things at once. I typically watch a movie, and make earrings or hair flair. I do laundry while cooking dinner. I am addicted to accomplishment.

But that statement made me look up from my hot glue.

I never picture famous and accomplished people battling self doubt like the common-folk. I never imagine a beautiful, valuable statue being a weapon. But they do and it is!

If you missed the Golden Globes, here’s the best part!

How do you bludgeon self doubt?

  1. I thought the same thing!!! I LOVED it when she said that!

Um… I am currently doing the Beth Moore Breaking Free Bible Study at the moment b/c I haven’t really been bludgeoning self doubt with anything for a long time.

Slowly I am starting to bludgeon self doubt with my big, fat Study Bible. It’s heavy.

So now it’s on like Donkey Kong! (I never really played Donkey Kong when I was younger… I didn’t like it)

  2. Thanks, Toni! I like the image of bludgeoning self doubt with a good Bible thump. I’ve always loved Exodus 14:14 which reads, “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.” Think of that also as you study and don’t doubt His love or His fight for you!
